STEWARD TRAINING PROGRAM CONDUCTED BY RAINBOW WORLD MARITIME TRAINING CENTRE, KANDY, SRI LANKA
If you are Young, Smart, Spirited, Courageous, and looking for a career at Sea to work onboard a Merchant ship, Passenger ship, Cruise ship, Bunker vessel, Fishing vessel: Join the Rainbow World Maritime Training Centre (PVT) Ltd, Kandy and get an internationally accepted training as a Steward.
Qualifications: Age not less than 18 years. Pass GCE (O/L) examination with 6 subjects. Spoken English Knowledge is an added advantage. Pass the Aptitude Test and a Medical Test.
All successful candidates will follow the approved training syllabus of the TVEC (TERTIARY AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION COMMISSION) of Sri Lanka. Upon completion of the theory and the final examination, candidates will join Star Class Hotels in Kandy, to undergo on the job training.
Upon completion of hotel training, they are eligible to apply to the Merchant Shipping Division in Colombo, to follow the course leading to the MLC certification as a steward. Once this is completed the letter of approval can be obtained to follow the STCW mandatory short courses which is the final documentation required to obtain the Sri Lankan CDC.
Steward course is approved by the TVEC. Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development Sri Lanka.
